Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, John Robb earned his Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Barrett, the Honors College of Arizona State University. He then attended Arizona State University’s Sanda Day O’Connor College of Law, where he earned a trial advocacy award from the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
After moving to Oregon in 2010, Mr. Robb began his legal career at Multnomah Defenders, Inc., one of the largest public defender offices in Oregon. There, he handled more than a thousand criminal cases and went to trial on charges ranging from misdemeanors to major felonies. In 2013, Mr. Robb attended the Trial Practice Institute at the National Criminal Defense College in Macon, Georgia. He left to join Kevin Sali in private practice in 2016, representing clients in a variety of cases in state and federal courts.
Mr. Robb maintains an active role in the legal community. He authored a chapter of the 2014 edition of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association’s DUII Trial notebook and has been an invited speaker at legal education events put on by the Multnomah Bar Association, the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Multnomah County Court, and the Oregon Judicial Department. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Multnomah Bar Association, the Oregon Judicial Department’s Uniform Trial Court Rules Committee, and the Attorney General’s Task Force on Victim’s Rights Enforcement.
